Flautas

Flautas are a Mexican dish also known as taquitos. They are typically made by filling a flour tortilla with meat or vegetables. The tortilla is then deep fried until golden and crispy.

Horchata

Horchata or orxata, a name for several kinds of traditional beverages, made of ground almonds, sesame seeds, rice, barley or tigernuts

Origin of Tequila

Tequila is made by steaming the hearts of the blue agave plant, one of approximately 136 species of agave grown in Mexico. Once steamed, the hearts are minced to a pulp, combined with water, and fermented, producing an alcoholic liquid that's then distilled and bottled.

Crops of Mexico

Corn or maize (Zea mays), tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) and cocoa (Theobroma cacao) - the latter used to make chocolate - are the three most important crops introduced from Mexico to the world. All three were domesticated, or brought from wild shrubs and plants into farmable crops, by ancient Mesoamerican civilizations (i.e: living in south-central Mexico), some three millenia ago.
